How to Choose Pearl or Crystal Necklaces?
Selection Criteria for Crystal Necklaces: The form of your necklace can make or break your outfit or even occasion. While the type and style of a necklace is mostly a personal preference, there are some general but important factors in the selection process.
It’s all about suiting the outfit and the physical aspects of yourself. If your gown has a low sweetheart and strapless neckline and your neck is long, a 2-3-strand choker is a good choice. If your neck is a little shorter, and it is a dress with higher neckline like bateau, one way to elongate the length is to wear a lariat necklace. Longer Y-drop pearl or crystal necklace combined with a halter or V-neck will make an average of petite lady look a little slimmer while a multi-strand pearl choker with a higher neckline will compact the appearance.

The size of the pearls and crystal necklaces also plays a part. If you are of petite size, you may choose smaller or elongated pearls or crystals with only one-to-two-strand necklace. Crystal lariat necklace with a combination of small-sized pearls and crystal is also an appropriate choice. If you are of larger build, bigger round pearls and larger pear-shaped is appropriate.
One more tip: Since the range of neck size varies greatly from person to person and even from time to time; if possible, ask for a little chain extension of an inch or two for your lariat of crystal necklaces, so that there is flexibility.
